We are proud to announce that our IB students from Al-Hussan International Academy – Boys Section participated in the Awareness Marathon held on October 31st, 2025, as part of the Eastern Pink17 Campaign organized by the Saudi Cancer Foundation. This meaningful event served as a CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) experience, reflecting our students’ commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. A big shout-out to our students for representing the spirit of IB and standing in solidarity with the fight against cancer!

Pink 17 Campaign Marathon – “Steps of Hope”

On Friday, October 31, 2025, students from Al Hussan International Academy – girls’ section proudly participated in the “Steps of Hope” Marathon, organized by the Saudi Cancer Foundation as part of the Eastern Pink 17 Campaign. The event took place at Al-Khobar’s Tharwa Corniche, bringing together people of all ages in support of breast cancer awareness and early detection. Throughout the day, participants explored awareness and educational booths, interactive activities, and a mammogram unit offering valuable health information. The atmosphere was filled with unity, encouragement, and inspiration as everyone took meaningful steps toward a cancer-free nation. By joining this initiative, our students demonstrated not only school spirit but also compassion and social responsibility, standing in solidarity with those affected by cancer and promoting the importance of early awareness.​​​​​​​

Turning Waste into Inspiration

Our talented students transformed ordinary barrels into meaningful works of art, each carrying a powerful message and purpose. Through colors, creativity, and inspirational quotes, these redesigned bins will brighten our hallways while reminding everyone that small actions make a big difference. This initiative was a collaboration between the Art Club leaders from grade 12H and all Grade 11 IB students as part of their CAS program, reflecting teamwork, creativity, and environmental awareness. A big well-done to our amazing students for turning hard work into something beautiful, purposeful, and sustainable!

The Rocket Launch Project

As part of an exciting interdisciplinary activity conducted at Al-Hussan International Academy- Boys Section, Our IB students carried out The Rocket Launch Project where Science met Creativity and Teamwork. The goal was to explore projectile motion through a real-life rocket launch, measuring maximum height using trigonometry, calculating launch angles and initial velocity, and comparing theoretical predictions with real data. This engaging experience deepened their understanding of key Physics and Mathematics (AA & AI) concepts while applying CAS principles through collaboration, creative problem-solving, and reflection. Students embodied the Learner Profile traits of Inquirers, Thinkers, and Communicators as they investigated, analyzed, and confidently shared their findings.​​​​​​​

High School Orientation at Al-Hussan International Academy for the Academic Session 2025-2026

Our Academy successfully conducted High School Orientation for students and parents of Grades 8 to Grade 11. The orientation was conducted Hybrid; face to face and online to maximize the participation and support for parents and students. It was aimed at preparing families for the academic expectations, pathways, and opportunities available in the upper school years. The orientation provided detailed guidance on Courses, Credits, Grade Point Average, Al-Hussan Graduation policy as well as Equivalency requirements of different nationalities. Comprehensive information was shared about the British Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, outlining their structure, assessment methods, and global recognition. Parents and students were guided on how each pathway supports diverse learning styles and university destinations, enabling families to make informed choices best suited to their child’s goals. The procedure of External Examination Registration including Cambridge, Oxford AQA, Pearson Edexcel, Checkpoint, Digital Mock Exam and Digital MCQ exam for June 2026 session was explained in detail. The orientation concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing parents and students to engage directly with the Academic Coordinators, External Exam Coordinator/College Counsellor and IB Coordinator. The session reinforced Al-Hussan International Academy’s dedication to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and a strong partnership with parents.

Math Treasure Hunt

The Math Treasure Hunt came to life as an exciting, student-led learning experience designed and organized by Grade 11 and 12 IB students. Blending problem-solving, teamwork, and movement around the school, participants followed clues and tackled math challenges to reach the final treasure. The competition aimed to strengthen critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills while reinforcing key mathematical concepts in a fun, motivating, and memorable way—proving that learning math can be both active and enjoyable

Well-being in Action

Our Boys Section IBDP students took the lead this week by delivering meaningful well‑being coaching sessions to students in Grades 4–8. They explored essential topics such as bullying, respect, and empathy, creating a supportive space for younger learners to reflect, share, and grow. We’re incredibly proud of our IBDP students for modeling leadership, compassion, and responsibility. Their efforts help strengthen our school community and inspire positive behavior across all grade levels. Together, we continue building a culture of kindness and respect at Al-Hussan International Academy.

Al‑Hussan International Academy- Boys section IBDP Students Visit to King Fahad Hospital

As part of their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) journey, our IBDP students spent a meaningful and inspiring day at King Fahad Hospital. The visit offered them a chance to connect with the community, practice empathy, and put their learning into action. During the visit, the students: • Met and interacted with patients, offering companionship and positive energy • Read stories to young children, bringing smiles and comfort to their day • Presented flowers and heartfelt thank‑you card to doctors and nurses in appreciation of their dedication • Acquired and practised first aid skills through hands‑on training. This experience allowed our students to deepen their understanding of service, compassion, and responsibility. It was a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We are proud of our students for representing the values of the IB program and our school with such sincerity and enthusiasm.

Student-Led Drama Club performance

At the Girls’ Section, creativity came to life through a truly inspiring student-led Drama Club performance. Students proudly presented The Wizard of Oz, a live theatrical production planned, rehearsed, and performed by our talented young actresses. The event was made even more special with the presence of parents of the participants, whose support and encouragement added to the magic of the moment. This performance reflected teamwork, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for the arts—showcasing how student-led clubs empower learners to take ownership, express themselves, and shine on stage.

Green little pet: CAS in Action

At Al Hussan International Academy, CAS students organized and carried out the ‘’Green Little Pet’’ activity to promote environmental awareness and responsibility. By planting and caring for small plants, students demonstrated initiative and team work while encouraging younger students to care for living things. Stranger danger awareness

At Al Hussan International Academy, CAS students prepared as assembly for preschool students to raise awareness about stranger danger in a simple and engaging way. They designed colorful posters showing safe and unsafe situations and performed a short play to make message clear and easy . This activity promoted child safety while encouraging CAS students to demonstrate caring, communication, and social responsibility .

Empowering Student Voices Through Morning Assemblies

Al Hussan International Academy – Girls’ Section believes that every morning is a new opportunity for students to grow, lead, and inspire. Through our engaging morning assembly program, students are encouraged to present prepared assemblies to their peers and staff members in a supportive and confidence-building environment. With the continuous support of the administration and teachers, students are able to strengthen their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills while discussing important topics such as hygiene, bullying awareness, positive behavior, and various social concerns. Students also showcase their creativity and talents through performances, short plays, and rehearsed dances that make each assembly both educational and enjoyable. The morning assembly program plays a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and community-centered atmosphere where students feel connected, valued, and heard. It also provides departments and students with an effective platform to share important messages and announcements while helping students develop essential real-world skills and experiences.

After School Football Club

At Al-Hussan International Academy, 11 IB boys have taken leadership beyond the classroom by launching an exciting after-school football club for primary and middle school students. The initiative aimed to promote teamwork, fitness, sportsmanship, and positive mentorship within the school community. Held twice weekly after school, the club quickly become a favorite among younger students, who enjoyed the opportunity to develop their football skills while learning from experienced and enthusiastic IB student leaders. The sessions include skill drills, mini matches, teamwork activities, and encouragement for students of all ability levels.

Collaborative Sciences Projects

At Al-Hussan International Academy- Boys Section, grade 11 IB students successfully created and presented two different Collaborative Sciences Projects as part of the IB Group 4 sciences. Working in teams, students connected Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science to investigate real-life scientific challenges. One team explored how increasing exercise intensity affects respiration and physiological responses in the human body, while the other investigated survival in deserts and coral regions, focusing on topics such as pure drinking water, food preservation, oxygen levels, insulation, and plant adaptation. These projects showed students’ ability to collaborate, think critically, apply scientific knowledge, and present meaningful solutions to real-world situations.​​​​​​​
