Climate Crisis Campaign

On the 5th of December 2019, grade 11 IB students organized a Climate Crisis CAS Campaign. The goal was to raise awareness about the global issue “Climate Change” after learning about this topic as part of the Biology curriculum, with the help of grade 12 IB students. The Campaign was an example of a service learning where many subjects were integrated (Languages, Sciences, Art , business and ITGS ) and many Sustainable Goals were covered ( Goal 7 : affordable and clean energy , Goal 11 : sustainable cities and communities, Goal 13: Climate Action, Goal 12: responsible consumption and production , Goal 14: Life below water ) . Our IB students decided to be a Climate Change Leadership at AHISK and educate others to take an action for a better future. They were engaged with issues that have local and global significance. They used critical and creative thinking skills to take responsible action, and expressed themselves confidently and creatively in more than one language ( English , Arabic and French ) .

They showed empathy, compassion and respect, in addition they had commitment to service and act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us .

They worked independtly and cooperatively .
