Conclusion Chain

Inferential thinking is a complex skill that develops over time and with experience. To help our students improve this skill, they must learn how to draw conclusions. They can conclude what they read, and make smart guesses about what happens in a story.  When they know how to draw conclusions based on what they read, students become better readers.
At AHISK, Grade 3I learned how to draw conclusions making this activity. They made a chain of ideas that eventually led to the conclusion based on the selection “Albertosaurus Mystery”.

They had so much fun doing it, and the chains were displayed in the class hanging from the ceiling.
