At AHISK, a yummy gummy activity was done with grade 8 students during their biology class.
This activity helped the students explore the shape and structure of DNA. Four colors of gummy sweets represent the four bases that make up DNA. Students made their own edible DNA double helix out of candy and found out about the shape of DNA.
This activity was a fun and tasty way to learn about the basics of DNA structure and complementary base pairs.
