At AHISK, we are keen that “fine motor skills” are the ability to use small muscles like: fingers, hands, and wrists. They are a crucial part of our lives. By working on them, children can be more confident and independent. Cutting, gluing, and coloring are ways to improve these skills. They are also an excellent way to develop hand-eye coordination. Class activities can be one of the ways to enhance fine motor skills as they are a multi-sensory experience combining touch and sight.
To enhance such skills, grade 3 had a writing class applying what they had learned about writing a character profile on one of their stories.
