The sentence builder

At AHISK, our third graders turned to builders of sentences supervised by their English teacher Mrs. Hanan. They built complex sentences using words blocks. It was a fun, hands-on, and engaging activity to learn how complex sentences are structured! It was also a great tool for differentiation as it made the task for below-average students easier to form complex sentences as they already have the words.

The sentence builder activity helped students to improve their skills in reading and comprehending grammatical terms, words, phrases, and sentences. It is a great way for students to be aware of correct sentence structure. The goal is for students to create multiple oral and written sentences using a limited number of words.
