Transition 2020-2021

The transition to school is a rite of passage in the lives of children and their families. For children, it means meeting new teachers and friends, adapting to a different environment, and adjusting to new rules and expectations. For families, the transition to school can bring about feelings of happiness, sadness, and worry.

We, at AHISK, define transition as a process that prepares students, families, schools, and communities to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and relationships to assist students in successfully moving from one setting to another.

Student transition plan was made and sent to parents. Two online transition sessions were conducted: one for primary grades and a separate one for middle and upper grades.

Students were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their interests. Videos related to the school premises and activities were shared with students, presentation was shared to explain all the details related to the school’s vision, mission, dress code, discipline policy, as well as rules and expectations.

Faculty members introduced themselves and wished all the students an awesome school year. We can’t wait to see you ALL again. Stay Safe.
