AHISK girls section conducted its “Health and Safety Awareness Campaign” for 2 consecutive weeks from the 30th of September, 2019 till the 10th of October, 2019.
Health education motivates students to improve and maintain their fitness, prevent disease, and reduce precarious behaviors. Students of all ages require a safe learning environment for their better education and development. Various morning assemblies were conducted to emphasize on the importance of fire safety, first aid, disaster preparedness, digital citizenship and healthy lifestyles. Instructions were sent to all staff members regarding the fire drill, lockdown and Earthquake procedures. Remarkable educational games focusing on primary grades were conducted by grade 11IB students, under the supervision of the CAS coordinator. Our social counsellor played a vital role to spread the cognizance regarding screen addiction for the primary section, anxiety and social media awareness for the middle school grades, and healthy lifestyle for high school.
In addition, the art department executed a poster competition regarding hygiene, fire safety, digital citizenship, and disaster preparedness for all grade levels. 22 students won and received a certificate as a gratitude for their hard work.
