On 25th Sept 2019, grade 11 and 12 IB Econ students recreated an island in ROOM 313. They created their own economy on this island after they were stranded on a deserted island due to the shipwreck. They divided themselves into three tribes Hopi, Numakiki and Mamamia, and acted as domestic producers, exporters of apple juice and the tribe leaders who functioned as the government. They traded with a neighboring island which was TechnoLand. It was far more developed. They applied topics they were studying in Economics namely demand, supply, stakeholders in economics, international trade and tariffs in this activity. This application helped them to enhance their learning experience through an interesting approach.
