Students of AL Hussan International School, Khobar (Girls Section) participated in Japan Art Mile Project also known as International Intercultural Mural Exchange (IIME). The role IMME is of contributing to WORLD PEACE, by fostering global citizens who will create sustainable future in collaboration with the same generation in the world. Under the supervision of Mrs. Saira Muhammad, English teacher, Mrs. Shadia Khalil worked on the theme and helped students conduct a research, while the Art teacher assisted the students to develop the sketches for the mural. Our talented student, Dalal Fouzi Muhammad Al Ghaithi from Grade 10 I mentored Grade 8 students in drawing and painting the mural. She is a gifted student who showed her talent in a beautiful way through the mural.

Grade 8H students worked on, “Conserving Energy and Creating New ways of Generating Energy Resources” with Shiga Junior High School Students from September till March 2018. Starting from conducting an extensive research on the theme, making power point presentations to introducing each other with their cultures, it was a mind opening experience for students.

The final product of this global citizenship project was an art mural representing the thoughts and ideas about conserving energy. Japanese students painted one half of the mural and then sent us the mural with paints to paint the other half. The students enjoyed the whole process as well as they understood the importance of sharing ideas and thoughts about potential future resources.
