Al Hussan International School proudly organized and celebrated AHISKMUN ’18 Conference on the 26th & 27th of January with full vigor and enthusiasm. The theme of the MUN was ‘Global Consensus’. The aim of the event was to spread awareness among the students about conflicts on International level and find solutions to the problems. The objectives were achieved successfully since over 130 students participated as delegates from 5 different schools in the region. The schools that participated were, OIS, JIS, SAAD National School, New World & Majd International School.
AHISKMUN was based on the simulation of the following seven committees:
1- CRISIS Expert committee
2- . UNHRC
3- WHO
4- ECOFIN
5- SOCHUM
6- UNSC
7- ECOSOC
From the pigeons in the opening ceremony, ribbon cutting, words of wisdom from Mr John Orak from the American Consulate, ambassador’s parade, gavel inauguration, buffet lunch and in committee’s session, the whole event was a true depiction of professionalism and commitment from both the students and administration.
