The International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest

We are pleased to announce that one of our students Mina Mazen Murray Grade 6H has been awarded an honourable mention in “The International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest,” for children aged 7 to 15 years old from around the world, supported by UNICEF Tokyo Office.

So far, the contest has been held 17 times with over 17,000 entries that this year we've had entries from a record breaking 94 countries.

76 students from Al Hussan International School, Al Khobar (Boys & Girls Section combined) participated in this contest. Our students drew pictures about nature and animals, their families and the surrounding area. The pictures also contain the message towards global environment, beyond borders and difference in their background cultures and languages.
It has provided our students an opportunity to think about the global environment, by expressing their inspiration from nature's bounty. Special thanks to the art teachers of Boys and Girls Section.

All the participating students have received a desk calendar with the pictures of winning work from the competition from Japan.

Congratulations to our winning student!
