AHISK January 2023 Volume 2

At AHISK, we embrace a learning environment that encourages the voice and choice of our students. This is important to empower our students, build their personalities, value their competencies, and embrace their talents. Our students are active, compassionate, multitalented, and lifelong learners. We are committed to helping them become well-rounded citizens who respond to challenges with optimism, make ethical decisions, and apply what they learn in complex real-world situations in order to help make the world a better place. We encourage our students to participate in extracurricular activities to help develop important life skills like communication, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking. These skills are crucial for success in life. Participating in activities and volunteer work also helps students make connections with others and learn more about themselves. As well as these, we want our students to be happy, to care for one another, to accept others despite their differences, and to promote positivity within the school community. Always remember, not everybody can be famous, but everybody can be great because Greatness is determined by Service. The best way to pursue happiness is to help, support, and celebrate the success of others. I am proud to be part of the AHISK family, and I am looking forward to developing relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members. Wish you all the very best in life. “Education is one thing no one can take away from you.” —Elin Nordegren
