Taking Care of Plants

Our Grade 5 Science students boys' school had an exciting Science inquiry lesson that gave them hands-on experience focused on taking care of plants to better understand how plants make and use their own food. Through watering, placing plants in sunlight, and observing changes over time, students learned how plants transform energy from the sun into food and use it for growth and development.

Students integrated technology by using the smart boards to demonstrate their understanding and worked collaboratively with their groups to exhibit shared responsibility.

This activity helped students connect classroom learning to real-life experiences, strengthening their understanding of photosynthesis and plant needs.
