Grade 4 Science students girls, explored how water can change rocks over a long period of time. To model this process, we used a sugar cube as a representation of a rock. The sugar cube was exposed to water, and students observed how it slowly dissolved and changed shape.
Through this simple experiment, students learned that water could wear down rocks gradually, even though the changes happen very slowly in nature. This activity helped students understand the concept of weathering and how natural forces like water affect Earth’s surface over time.
