Our Grade 11 AS Biology students from the Girls Section carried out an enzyme assay experiment to investigate how amylase concentration affects the rate of reaction. Using the iodine test, students monitored the breakdown of starch and analyzed how enzyme concentration influences the reaction speed.
Hands-on practical work like this strengthens experimental skills, data analysis, and exam confidence as students prepare for the upcoming Cambridge examinations.
Learning biology isn’t just about theory — it’s about doing science.
