At the Girls academy’ section, grade 8 students organized and led a heartfelt Breast Cancer Awareness event to support and spread awareness about this important cause.
The event began with a morning assembly, where students presented an informative PowerPoint presentation, delivered inspiring speeches, and shared personal stories and experiences of relatives who have faced breast cancer.
Following the assembly, the students hosted an awareness campaign in the school hall, where they distributed informative leaflets highlighting key facts about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
During the campaign, students encouraged the audience to write positive and motivational messages for breast cancer fighters and attach them to a “Tree of Hope” decorated with pink ribbons. They also invited everyone to share their relatives’ experiences or stories with breast cancer and stick them on the “Pledge Wall,” creating a powerful display of empathy, connection, and support.
Another touching part of the event was when students and audience members fingerprinted hearts using pink paint to form a large pink awareness ribbon, symbolizing unity, love, and strength. Everyone proudly wore pink shirts and pink paint to show solidarity and raise awareness.
