Our Grade 4 students in Girls Section explored the concept of stored energy in a rubber band through an exciting hands-on experiment!
During the activity, students tested how pulling a rubber band to different lengths affected a small car’s speed and distance. Through fair testing, observation, and teamwork, they discovered that the more the rubber band is stretched, the faster and farther the car travels — a clear demonstration of how stored potential energy transforms into kinetic energy.
This engaging experiment not only deepened students’ understanding of energy transfer, but also sparked curiosity, collaboration, and the enthusiasm of young scientists in action
