At the Academy, our Grade 12–H Economics students engaged in an interactive activity under the theme “Efficiency in Action.” As part of this initiative, students participated in a Paper Plane Challenge that simulated real-world constraints—working with limited paper, scissors, and time. In the first round, strict rules slowed decision-making and led to resource waste; in the second, teams self-organized, specialized roles, and iterated quickly.
This experience not only deepened students’ understanding of economic efficiency—making the best use of limited resources to maximize value—but also highlighted their teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity—bringing core economic concepts to life in a meaningful and engaging way.
