Grade 3 measuring activity

HISY girls’ section, grade 3 apply their knowledge of how to use and make an inch ruler. Using materials such as paper, markers, and a ruler template, students measured and cut out strips of paper to create their own inch ruler.

They carefully labelled each inch mark and learned how to accurately measure objects using their handmade ruler.

This activity reinforced their understanding of measurement and units of length, while also allowing them to practice their fine motor skills and attention to detail. By the end of the activity, students had a tangible tool that they could use in future math lessons and projects.
