Career Week at Al Hussan International Khobar

“Choose a job that you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Career week has been organized in Girls’ and Boys’ sections from 28th – 1st Jan, 15 and 4th – 8th Jan, 15 respectively.  During this campaign the focus was directed towards different dimensions of professional world, career paths, college and university experiences of teachers, alumni and experts from different walks of life. Surveys and interest inventories have been administered to explore what students aspire and dream about their professional careers in the future. The students have also discovered their inclinations and potentials through different activities.

The students expressed their thoughts about the professions they would like to adopt in the future during special morning assemblies (Career Runway). Panel discussions in both sections have been the highlight of the campaign. Mrs. Rashid Al Hussan honoured us with her presence in Girls’ Section.

Many cross-curricular activities enabled students to explore various jobs prospects in the next 10 years. Students wrote essays on “My Future – My Dreams” and displayed them on the wall mural. Alumni addressed many classes and shared their valuable experiences of universities and dorm life. They also highlighted the significance of life skills and how important it is to be socially active in order to interact with diverse college community.

Our College Counsellor, Mr. Kaleem addressed the students in his presentation. Mr. Wafic El Assi, one of our alumni also guided students through an informative presentation, My Next Move.
