Using Concrete Models

 Orbit grade 2 students used concrete models to represent 2-digit numbers. Using concrete models in combination with other methods can enrich and deepen understanding. They also help students learn new concepts and relate them to what they have already learnt. This activity allows children to construct their own mental models for mathematical ideas.
