MATH DERBY
An event Einstein would approve of
The Math Derby is a competition being held
in our school for the past several years. It is
where students can show their math skills
and become mathematicians for the day.
The competition consists of 2 rounds and
each grade is tested with questions from
their respective syllabus. All students have
to take part in the 1st round. The students
are faced with 20 challenging questions and
only a specific amount of time is given for
each question, which helps to enhance the
thinking abilities of students. This paper is
checked by the Math coordinator, Mrs.
Nighat.
The two students who achieve the highest
points are qualified for the 2nd round. In the
2nd round, 2 teams are formed from two stu-
dents of two different grades. These two
teams play a nerve-wrecking and exciting
game, and finally one team wins and holds
the title of the “Math Champions.”
