As CAS activity grade 12 IB at al Hussan International School -
Khobar participated in the blood donation campaign at Saad
Hospital -Khobar which falls under service and creativity. Students
had the opportunity to get more scientific information about the
essential part of our health care system : blood donations with
Dr. Ammar Al Sugheir. After a tour in the blood bank they
distributed Flyers explaining the process of blood donation. The
students were happy to see and share the process of blood
donation.
Blood Donation Campaign at Saad Hospital
The school organized an intensive classes for Grade
12(A Levels and IB) from 21st August 2016 - 8th Sep-
tember 2016. The purpose of these classes was to
prepare students for Grade 12 and to clear any
doubts. A good number of students came to join
these classes and were ready to take full advantage
of these classes. We wish them all the best for their
senior year.
Intensive Classes
New Appointment—Parent Coordinator
My name is Diana, I am the Parent Coordinator for
AlHussan International School in Khobar. I am so glad
to be the connection among parents, students, teach-
ers and administration. It is a really interesting job,
however, demanding.
I am also delighted that AlHussan Family is a very
understanding community and that really facilitates
my work.
The parent coordinator plays a key role in welcoming,
supporting and facilitating student – teachers
meeting and open communication between them.
Football Match
Football is the most popular sport in Saudi Arabia.
The young students at Al-Hussan Khobar Academy
are always found committed enthusiastically in the
oldest game. Recently a football match was held
between teams of AHISK and SAAD School. Out of
the two matches played, AHISK embraced victory
in one. The players who participated in this event
were Zaid Rihawi, Zain Belal, Ahmad Ishrat, Mazen
Ismael, Wael Matari, and Yousef Nabil. The pic-
tures were taken by Karam Shamma.
Hygiene Campaign
It was initiated by grade 11 IB
students. They sold brownies
cookies and cupcakes and gener-
ated 720 SR profit.
A Normal Day at AHISK
At 7:30 most of the students gather in lines ac-
cording to their classes, to listen to the morning
assembly. The daily assembly held by different stu-
dents each day consists of three parts : Quran ,
Hadith and a daily topic
At 7:45 all the students move to their classes with
their teachers to attend the first period and they
continue with two breaks in between until the 8th
period
