“Knowing what's right doesn't mean much unless you do what's right.” ― Theodore Roosevelt

Cyber bullying has become so widespread, that it is hard to find a child these days that doesn’t know someone who has been personally affected. Cyber bullying is anonymous, those who would never bully someone face to face may use it as a way to feel in control. Children who are bullied by their classmates may seek revenge on their tormentor online, while others may do it for entertainment or to improve their social standing.

As a counsellor, I would request all the parents to talk to your children about cyberbullying and ensure their safety on Internet by adjusting the privacy settings from “Public” to “Friends Only”. Make sure they do not share their home address, phone number and personal information with strangers.
